Transfer Certificate (TC) বা ছাড়পত্র হলো শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান কর্তৃক একজন শিক্ষার্থীকে দেওয়া একটি আনুষ্ঠানিক দলিল, যা প্রমাণ করে যে শিক্ষার্থী ওই প্রতিষ্ঠান ত্যাগ করে অন্য কোনো প্রতিষ্ঠানে ভর্তি হওয়ার অনুমতি পেয়েছে।
শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য এর গুরুত্ব ও মূল বৈশিষ্ট্যগুলো নিচে দেওয়া হলো:
ভর্তির জন্য অপরিহার্য: এক স্কুল থেকে অন্য স্কুলে ভর্তি হতে গেলে নতুন স্কুল কর্তৃপক্ষ পূর্ববর্তী স্কুলের ছাড়পত্র বা TC দেখতে চায়। এটি ছাড়া সাধারণত নতুন স্কুলে ভর্তি হওয়া সম্ভব হয় না।
শিক্ষার্থীর তথ্য: এতে শিক্ষার্থীর নাম, বাবার নাম, মায়ের নাম, জন্মতারিখ, শেষ পঠিত শ্রেণি এবং রোল নম্বর উল্লেখ থাকে।
আচরণ ও পাওনা: শিক্ষার্থীর আচরণ কেমন ছিল এবং স্কুলের যাবতীয় পাওনা (বেতন বা অন্যান্য ফি) পরিশোধ করা হয়েছে কি না, তা এই পত্রে নিশ্চিত করা হয়।
বদলির কারণ: সাধারণত বাবার চাকরির বদলি, পরিবারের আবাসন পরিবর্তন বা উন্নত কোনো প্রতিষ্ঠানে পড়ার সুযোগ পেলে এই আবেদন করা হয়।
উদাহরণস্বরূপ: আপনার পূর্বের করা আবেদনের ফরম্যাট অনুযায়ী, যখন কোনো শিক্ষার্থী এক শহর থেকে অন্য শহরে চলে যায়, তখন সে প্রধান শিক্ষকের কাছে এই পত্রটির জন্য অনুরোধ জানায়।

Your family has already been shifted to Chattogram. So you need a transfer certificate from your school in order to get yourself admitted to govt. Muslim High School, Chattogram.
